Return and Exchange Policy:

At California Costumes, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, you have the option to return or exchange it within 21 days of receiving it.

To initiate a return or exchange, you must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. To obtain an RA number, please visit our Returns and Exchange page. Note that certain products, including California Costumes products and underwear, cannot be returned or exchanged.

To ensure that your return is processed smoothly, please ensure that items have not been changed or washed. Items that have been altered or are deemed unsafe cannot be accepted.

Once we receive your returned items, it may take up to 5-10 business days to process the return. Please note that shipping costs are not refundable.

International orders are eligible for refunds, minus the cost of delivery and shipping. The buyer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.

Unfortunately, we are unable to make changes or cancel an order once it has been processed and shipped.

Mill Ship Items: Items shipped from Mill (factory) are not eligible for return or exchange. It is only permitted if the goods received are defective.

Altered & Used Items: Items that have been worn, washed, soiled, altered, or otherwise changed from their original state are not eligible for exchange or return.

Intimates: Intimates that have been returned must be inspected; by law, items that have been worn, altered, or damaged cannot be returned. Please pick the proper size, as advised.

Closeout Items: Closeout units cannot be returned or exchanged once they have been purchased. Only damaged or defective closeout items can be replaced.

For international orders, there are some rules:

We will refund international orders minus the cost of delivery and shipping. It costs the buyer to send back the item.

Please send us back the item so we can process your return. While your return is being processed, you will be able to place another order while your return is being processed.

People who don't have RAs won't be able to return. Please get a Return Material Authorization (RA) for all or part of your order before you send us a new item. Usually, it takes one business day (less than 24 hours) for an email to be sent to your RA number with the return instructions.

It's important to write this number on the box. You can send the package through any delivery service that the letter says is good for it.

Once we get your return, we will give you back the money you paid for the item you want to return. We regret that we will not be able to refund any shipping fees that you may have paid.

During the time that we are processing your return, you can order the product you want to buy (i.e., replace the product you just returned). For us, it would be great if the name and credit card billing information for both orders were the same.

Remember to write down the old and new order numbers so you can look them up later. If you require any extra support, please do not hesitate to contact us.
